The 700 Club Canada in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse Canada
The 700 Club Canada has committed to partner with Samaritan’s Purse Canada to ensure that those who are suffering have access to what they need.
Samaritan’s Purse immediately mobilized disaster response specialists and began to position relief supplies for rapid deployment after a deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Turkey and Syria on Feb. 6. Hours later these countries were rocked by another 7.5-magnitude earthquake. The death toll has now exceeded 20,000 people and tens of thousands more were injured. Those numbers could rise as search and rescue efforts continue.
They are preparing to deploy a 52-bed Emergency Field hospital and staff to address the immediate medical needs of families suffering from the disaster. Their teams will also be airlifting much-needed items into the hardest-hit areas.
