1 Timothy 6:6 says “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” This scripture has always reminded me that godliness and contentment go hand in hand. Regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in, or the challenges we face each day, our purpose is more than just survival; it’s about finding genuine contentment in where we are. It isn’t about attaining perfection or checking off every item on our to-do list. Rather, it’s about shifting our perspectives and outlooks on life toward God in every season of our lives.
Here are a few ways I’ve learned to walk in contentment in every season of life.
Abide in Christ: True contentment stems from finding our rest in God. If we feel our joy slipping away, it’s likely because we’ve disconnected from our source of joy. By renewing our minds daily through God’s Word, we gain the strength to live contentedly regardless of our situations.
Embrace Every Season: Life unfolds in seasons, each with its highs and lows. Wherever we find ourselves, there’s purpose in that moment. Instead of yearning for what could be, we find fulfillment by embracing what is and discovering purpose in our current circumstances.
Cultivate Gratitude: God’s mercies are new each day. Therefore, every day presents an opportunity for gratitude. Starting our days with thankfulness and praise to God for His past and future blessings fosters a spirit of contentment.
Living with contentment involves intertwining our lives with God’s presence, finding purpose in every season, and cultivating a heart of gratitude for His continual blessings.

Day 13 – Why Pray?
While prayer fosters intimacy with God, it is also a way to honour and worship Him for all He does, did, and will do. He’s the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end of all created things, including us.
Day 12 – Reflections
Today, as we reflect on decisions we’ve made to put God first in our lives, let’s praise Him for all He has done for us and for teaching us to fast and pray.
