The Gift of Immanuel

As we enter this Christmas season, my prayer for you is that you will experience the presence of your heavenly Father in a deep way. The name Immanuel holds incredible significance: “God with us.” It’s a powerful reminder that God is not distant but near, actively involved in every aspect of our lives. He was with you yesterday, He is with you today, and He will be with you forever. His coming into the world as a child made a way for His Spirit to dwell with us, offering us continual access to His presence.
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew
1:23 )
This truth—God with us—should be at the centre of our hearts, not just during the holiday season but throughout the entire year. Whether
you’re celebrating moments of joy or facing seasons of hardship, God is never far away. He invites you to press into Him, to draw nearer, and to experience His love and guidance more fully. Jesus, the greatest gift, offers redemption, restoration, and healing. He is ever-present and all sufficient, filling every need.
What steps could you take today to grow in your understanding of Immanuel, God with us? Perhaps it’s spending more time in prayer, meditating on His Word, or simply pausing to acknowledge His presence in your daily life. God longs to be close to you—draw near to Him and let His presence be your greatest gift.
