Deborah Edwards
Deborah Edwards grew up in Ontario, Canada. She was raised in a Christian home and gave her life to the Lord when she was three years old. Her father worked as a Bible College professor and her mother as a Christian counselor.
She always dreamed of flying and felt called to serve God by helping those in need. Specifically, she felt drawn to using aviation to empower people living in isolated locations by bringing them humanitarian aid and the hope of Godโs Word. This is what started her interest in MAF and what drives her in her work to this day.
Deborah completed her Bible education through online courses with Our Daily Bread University. She has been a pilot for over five years, most recently serving as a flight instructor at Prairie Aviation Training Centre in Three Hills, Alberta. She also took part in a Vision Trip to Uganda with MAF Canada to get a taste of life on the mission field.
Deborah recently relocated to Haiti. She hopes to use her skills as a pilot to reach isolated people in Haiti with the love of Christ, as well as the physical and medical resources they need to improve their quality of life.
