Ejay Tupe
Ejay Tupe believes in faith embodied in action and presence as an urban missionary and pastor with Mission Canada, dedicated to serving the vibrant community of downtown Toronto. With a fervent belief in the transformative power of compassion and outreach, Ejay’s journey into ministry was not just a calling, but a personal conviction to make a tangible difference in the lives of those often overlooked and marginalized.
Being born and raised in the Philippines, and immigrating to Canada at the age of 11 in Mississauga, helped instil a comfort and familiarity with culturally diverse environments, along with a deep appreciation for the power of rich diversity and the importance of inclusivity. This foundation laid the groundwork for his passion for social justice and his commitment to breaking down barriers that hindered individuals from experiencing the fullness of life.
Equipped with a strong theological education and a heart brimming with compassion, lives in one of the downtown neighbourhoods of Toronto, a city manifesting a mosaic of humanity – each person with their own story, struggles, and aspirations. Serving primarily from the posture of presence, Ejay seeks to be a positive force and catalyst for transformation.
