Jeff Futers
Executive Director, First Century Foundations
Partner With the Israel Prayer Watch Canada Tour
Sept 6, 2023
Jeff and Sharon Futers have been leading First Century Foundations for the past seven years, turning hearts around the world towards the land, people and God of Israel. As antisemitism increases in Canada and around the world, the team felt strongly this year that it is time to rally together believers in Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah for increased intercession for Israel and the Jewish people and also to take a STAND in solidarity with Jewish people worldwide against antisemitism.
That is why we are hosting Israel Prayer Watches across Canada this year (Ontario to BC in June & Halifax back to Ontario in September). As part of the prayer tour, we are asking every believer to do something tangible that will signify our solidarity with the Jewish people.
We want you to SIGN THE PLEDGE of solidarity so that we can count how many are with us and let the world know that the church stands against antisemitism!
Some will say, ‘I belong to the Lord’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The Lord’s,’ and will take the name Israel. Isaiah 44:5

Bill Prankard
President – Bill Prankard Evangelistic Association
July 25, 2023
BILL PRANKARD is the President of the Bill Prankard Evangelistic Association a healing evangelist with a burning vision for revival. In 1972, while pastoring a small Pentecostal Church in Canada, he had a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit in a Kathryn Kuhlman service. That experience launched him into international healing and evangelism ministry. Thousands of people have received outstanding physical miracles and spiritual transformations as he crosses denominational lines and carries the full Gospel message, “in demonstration of the Spirit and power.”
The scripture that has been the driving vision of the BPEA ministry is Canada’s motto, Psalm 72:8 – “He shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.” During his more than five decades of evangelistic ministry, Bill has taken Healing and Hope “from sea to sea” in Canada and abroad. He established and led churches, hosted weekly and daily television ministry, and authored several books and publications. At “the ends of the earth,” in both the Canadian and Russian Arctic, he and his teams took the Gospel where the name of Jesus had never been heard, mentored leaders, and spearheaded the funding and establishment of native churches.
VISION:
Do you sometimes feel like a ship lost at sea, unable to determine God’s will and direction for your life?
God has the answer for you in one word—Vision!
It will clear away the fog of confusion and help you become laser-focused on your God-given purpose. In this powerful book, Evangelist Bill Prankard shares the remarkable details of a life-altering vision he received in 1972 of Canada in national revival. The vision, inspired by the Holy Spirit, became the driving force that has led him to preach with passion, to minister healing and miracles to thousands, and to believe for a national spiritual awakening.

Curtis & Sylvia Hartshorn
E3 Ministry Canada
May 30 – June 2, 2023
Sylvia and Curtis had a massive awakening in their faith when they were in Malawi in 2016. They saw how the Christians lived there and were challenged to get back to the simple Gospel. They felt convicted of how overcomplicating ministry had actually immobilized them. When they got home, they happened to go through a Gospel conversation training, and it put words to so much of what Jesus was already speaking to their hearts. They knew then that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives doing ministry as close to how Jesus did it as possible. They found e3 Ministry Canada gets to the heart of the simple, yet powerful Gospel and calls believers to make disciples that walk as Jesus did.
Curtis is a church planter, evangelist, and discipleship trainer with e3 Ministry Canada. His passion is to see the great commission fulfilled in our lifetime by equipping every believer to live on mission.
Sylvia’s primary role is mothering and discipling their two young children Naomi and Gabe, and she also works for e3 Ministry Canada as a Church Planting Multiplier. Sylvia has a passion to bring the Gospel to those who have never heard it, both in Canada and in the nations. Sylvia burns for seeing believers in Canada rise to their full identity as kingdom builders who have been called and sent by Jesus.

Adam Shepski
Disciple A City Director
May 30 – June 2, 2023
After coming to Jesus at the age of 18, Adam and his wife Melissa raised their support as missionaries. They began working with Youth for Christ in local, national, and international roles for 15 years. While Adam was developing prayer and evangelism strategies for Youth for Christ globally, he discovered that only 10% of Canadian believers had shared the Gospel once in the past six months. Seeing that the Canadian church has wrestled with how to engage and fulfill the Great Commission, Adam pulled from his global experience in leadership, fundraising, and innovation with Youth For Christ and helped found Disciple a City. Disciple a City trains churches, organizations, and individuals with simple tools to share the Gospel and disciple new believers. By 2020 the work and team of Disciple a City had grown and seen many people transformed by Jesus. This led Adam and his wife Melissa to resign from Youth for Christ and continue to raise their support as missionaries to direct DAC full-time. With the DAC team, Adam founded Every Disciple Sent as a multi-organization initiative to call and train Canadians nationally to ignite mission, share Jesus and multiply hope. He is ordained with Anchor Ministerial Fellowship and believes the future of the Canadian church hinges on the equipping and sending of every believer. Adam, Melissa, and their sons live in Peterborough County.

COME TOGETHER SASK – June 2 – 4
Yes! God wants to meet YOU at SaskTel Centre!
Come Together is a life-changing, catalytic, stadium event to encounter the presence of Jesus in powerful worship and receive His soul-saving message at SaskTel Centre.
When Jesus placed it in our hearts to go after SaskTel Centre, we knew He wanted Christians from all denominations to “Come Together” to experience and host Him and His Presence in Saskatoon, to encounter Him in the simple gospel once again, and bring family and friends to meet Him and feel His power for the first time.
I prayed and said, “God, if this is what YOU want, I’ll do it! Put something in my hands today from SaskTel Centre Stadium and I am 100% in, but if you don’t, I am 100% out!” Because we don’t need grandiose plans! We need God’s plans!
Within an hour, and with no one knowing what I prayed, a man put TWO photos in my hands. One of Billy Graham preaching in SaskTel Centre Stadium and the other is a picture of the promo!
God is real, and He cares about you, and this is His message to you personally. He is ready to meet you, whether it’s for the first time or to revive your life with His greatness.
June 2-4 and you will see that He will change your life and encounter your soul with His love and power! It’s time to “Come Together”
Charity Gayle I speak Jesus, will lead worship as well as Sask and Canadian teams

May 16, 2023
Tanya Pollard is the author of Memory Stones: Learn How to Start Trusting God by Proving to Yourself That He is Faithful. A former high-tech Instructional Designer whose award-winning courses taught people how to use software, she now combines her decades of Bible teaching with her skills as a women’s LifeGroup facilitator to equip and encourage people of all ages to build their personal relationship with their heavenly Father through examining the Word and experiencing life with Him.
A native and resident of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, she can usually be found hanging with her loud and loveable family consisting of one handy and handsome husband, two fun and dramatic kids, and one sweet, senior Morkie. You can also find her writing in her cloffice (it’s a thing), doing excessive online research in the quest for new baking recipes or blue perennials, wrapping stunning gifts, consuming all manner of coffee with loved ones, or crying her way through inspiring biographies, touching makeover shows, and based-on-real-life movies.
Memory Stones
Are you tired of stressing out and worrying every time you face a difficult circumstance? When a hardship presents itself, do you only focus on the threat in front of you and completely forget about the God beside you? Or do you remember that He exists but doubt His faithfulness because you acutely recall times in the past when things didn’t work out well—at all?
Tanya Pollard has struggled with this and knows how hard it can be to trust that God is always faithful. But by using God’s instruction to Joshua, she found a way to prove to herself that He is, and she wants you to discover how you too can:
• Overcome doubts about God’s faithfulness by understanding who He is and what faithful really means
• Trust God with your trials and future by using rocks as visual reminders of His constant faithfulness
• Trade your worries for gratitude and joy by discovering where His hand is already moving in all areas of your life
• Stop feeling alone and strengthen your relationship with God by involving Him in the search for His faithfulness in your life
Join Tanya as she explains what faithful is and what it isn’t and encourages you with the lessons she learned through the rocks in her jar, which reveal who God truly is, how much He dearly loves you, and what faithful really looks like.

Holly Enslen
Author – Mothers-In-Law: Society’s Scapegoat
May 12, 2023
I am a 67-year-old wife, mother, and grandmother to four teenagers. My husband Vern and I have been married for almost 48 years. Together we have weathered the storms of life and also celebrated the mountain tops. Presently we are residing for three weeks out of each month at a year-round Christian camp called Camp Caroline which is located west of Red Deer, Alberta. The remaining time we head back to our permanent home in Medicine Hat, Alberta to check on our house, deal with appointments and catch up with family and friends. In retirement, Vern has taken on the role of ‘Director of Site & Facilities’ at the camp and I spend my days pursuing my interests of drawing and writing. As our son once said, “you guys are living the dream”, and we truly are.
Mothers-in-law are routinely depicted as evil troublemakers out to control and destroy the lives of their adult children. If issues arise amongst in-laws, the silent majority automatically defaults to the assumption that it’s the mother-in-law’s fault. When this occurs, perceptions become skewed and problems are rarely resolved successfully. There are untold numbers of mothers-in-law everywhere paying an enormous price because of the slanderous and degrading characterization of them by the bulk of humanity in general. It is time these beleaguered women are given the opportunity to share what the impact can be like for individuals who are the butt of derogatory jokes, demeaning or satirical storylines, and consistent portrayal as nasty shrews.
Mothers-in-law who are struggling because of society’s discriminatory attitude towards them will find support and encouragement in this book. Open-minded daughters-in-law and sons-in-law are offered a fresh perspective if they are looking to find possible and often overlooked explanations for why the relationship they have with their mother-in-law is not working as well as it could be. Of utmost importance, if counsellors and clergy are willing to consider the possibility that they, along with their clients, could be harbouring destructive and disdainful subconscious biases regarding mothers-in-law, they will be given tools to overcome such obstacles. Unless acknowledged and properly addressed, these kinds of defamatory distortions will play a huge role in a family’s dysfunction and cause professionals to dispense prejudicial and damaging advice to those coming to them for direction and guidance. Readers will become aware of just how prevalent derogatory mother-in-law representation is in our culture thru the documentation of past, current, and ongoing examples. In addition to addressing other unhealthy mental roadblocks and attitudes, practical suggestions, and strategies are put forward that individuals can implement to repair the detrimental effects that the offensive mother-in-law stereotype has created.

Stéphane Therrien
Author – The Ultimate Journey of A Warrior
May 9, 2023
In this Second Edition of The Refining Journey of a Warrior, Stephane digs even deeper than before. We are going to the gym and training hard; cardiovascular exercises, bulking up, and leaning out, to achieve the perfect body and outer beauty. It is written in the Bible that physical exercise is good for us, but we should exercise ourselves to be godly for everlasting results and to be in line with God. We should train our spiritual mind even more than our physical body. Are you in shape both spiritually and physically? Our body declines with age, sickness, and injuries, but faith in God can carry us through these tough times. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. ” 2 Timothy 4:7, NLT
Stéphane has worked with the Street Outreach Ministry for the last 10 years tending to the needs of our homeless with food and clothing. Also, due to the generosity of a local philanthropist and professional sports organization, he runs a clothing ministry providing quality clothing (Roots) and footwear, as well as sports apparel for our less fortunate.
Stéphane has been to Nicaragua multiply times for mission work with the Barnabas Group. There he was working with gangs and prisons to share the love of Jesus. He has also been on mission trips to South Africa, as well as Dominican Republic. Another ministry closer to home is a bread ministry, helping generous restaurants not waste their end of day fresh bread, making sure the needy or working poor have access to it.
At Stéphane’s home church MCC, he runs a men’s ministry called the Band of Brothers which helps real men equip real men for life.
Stéphane also has a heart for those in prison. For the past 14 years, he has worked ministering the gospel to all prisoners who desperately want and need the love of Jesus. This one has been on pause due to covid.
Stéphane also has traveled around Ontario and Quebec with Reality Outreach, a ministry that produces a play about salvation performed at various churches.
Stéphane lives in Ontario Canada, with his wife Karen and daughter Chelsea. He has spoken all over the world and is available for speaking engagements.

Crystal Lavallee
Founder & National Director, I Am Compelled / TV Host & Producer
April 24 – 28, 2023
Crystal is a passionate, young Metis leader, wearing multiple ‘hats’ these days! As Founder and National Director of I Am Compelled (IAC), we provide in-school learning experiences for students that bring to life past heroes who were compelled to do great things for others! Through the dark atrocities of our past, leaders emerged who carved a path of healing. We must look back and listen in order to move forward together. Each assembly uses short videos to engage, inspire and compel students toward attainable action steps for healing.
A few of my other hats include producing Indigenous stories for television broadcast and social.
Yet, my most favourite hat of all is the media mentorship hat. Helping Indigenous youth and young adults get trained and equipped to reach remote Indigenous communities and youth with a message of love.
My life experiences have led me into unique situations. From the heart-wrenching firsthand accounts of seeing children sold into sex-trafficking in the Philippines, because their families couldn’t afford their next meal. Sitting with the Dalit in India and running educational programs for students in Saint Lucia, Slovakia and the Dominican Republic, opened my eyes to the global perspective – “to whom much is given, much is required”.
Seeing life through this global perspective has spurred me on to fuel purpose in the lives of Canada’s NOW-generation leaders. As a dynamic speaker and communicator, I compel my audiences to see what’s in their hands, what they’ve been given and challenge them to use that for the bigger picture (it’s not about you).
Creativity and production have been a natural skill set I’ve learned to hone over the years. It has taken years of sacrifice and setbacks to get to where I am today, but I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.
Keep your head up and your eyes open. Seize the moments and own the opportunities. Let go of the things that slow you down so that your life hits the mark!

Terry Posthumus

Terry Posthumus – Author – Acquainted with Sorrow: When Your Life Feels Like the Worst is Yet to Come
Acquainted with Sorrow: When Your Life Feels Like the Worst is Yet
to Come is written for those who have lost their way or find themselves
bogged down in life. It’s for the person that feels hopeless or at the very
least feels like they’re a bit off course. It’s for those who’ve lost their
footing and find themselves slipping toward the cliff. The dog-tired –
dispirited ones. It’s written for people who cannot see anything good in
their present circumstances or, at the very least, those for whom the big
picture is beginning to blur – colours fading and faith waning.
Acquainted with Sorrow is a collection of stories that take you behind
the scenes of the life of Terry Posthumus -revealing his secret to hope
in some of his life’s darkest and most painful moments. From grieving
the loss of a child, growing up a fatherless child, losing the “house on the
hill,” or mourning the death of his wife – no matter the circumstance – Terry
found hope through worship and gratitude. Through it all, he continued to
place his confidence in God.
Acquainted with Sorrow shows how one man overcame life’s darkest moments
and experienced hope despite loss and pain by clinging on to the
safety line that hope in Jesus offers.
Terry Posthumus and his wife Jessica are GMA nominated recording
artists and World Vision Artist Affiliates. He is an innovative singer-songwriter,
speaker and worship leader. He is author of many non-fictional,
technical, and training publications, and has been a speaker and panelist
at industry, educational, leadership, and worship conferences. He is
also a talented CGI animator, layout and character FX artist for Disney
Animation, Tangent Animation, and New Realm Studios as well as a 3D
support tool developer and trainer for Disney Animation, Tangent Animation,

Shirley Thiessen
August 17, 2022
Shirley Thiessen is an Author, Grief Coach, and Founder of CornerBend Ministries.
Grief is our common human experience. And yet, we live in a death-denying, grief-avoidant society. Most people don’t know what is helpful to say or do in support of someone who has suffered a great loss.
Shirley Thiessen was one of those people who felt uncertain about how to effectively companion with the broken-hearted.
Then abruptly, grief ambushed Shirley’s family. Twelve days after her son’s wedding, Shirley was thrown into the unimaginable task of planning his funeral. The trauma of child loss threatened to destroy her.
Hope and resiliency gradually emerged with the caring support of courageous, compassionate friends.
Inspired by these “Hope Heroes”, Shirley wrote, “The Little Black Funeral Dress – Five Things I Wish I Had Known About Grief” to pay it forward.
Identifying the need for more education around grief and mourning, Shirley became the founder of CornerBend Ministries.
Shirley offers simple yet effective concepts to fuel connection, build trust and lend hope. No one should feel invisible and alone in their sorrow.
Shirley’s passion is to inspire others to be Hope Heroes so that every grieving soul will experience God’s love and care through them.

Bill Prankard & Jacob Walda
July 28, 2022
Bill continues to accept invitations to minister in Hope and Healing services, Conferences, and Christian events.
JACOB WALDA In 2017 Jacob encountered the Lord at Bible college and his life changed forever, from an understanding of salvation to a relationship with Holy Spirit. In early 2020 God gave Jacob visions of Canada in revival, later that year Bill and Jacob connected and their hearts were united under this same vision that God gave Bill 50 years ago. Since then, Jacob has joined Bill as his PA, serving and traveling across Canada and the nations together.

Adam Shepski
July 26, 2022
After coming to Jesus at the age of 18, Adam and his wife Melissa raised their own support as missionaries and began working with Youth for Christ in local, national, and international roles for 15 years. While Adam was developing prayer and evangelism strategies for Youth for Christ globally, he discovered that only 10% of Canadian believers have shared the Gospel once in the past 6 months. Seeing that the Canadian church has wrestled with how to engage and fulfill the Great Commission Adam pulled from his global experience in leadership, fundraising, and innovation with Youth For Christ and helped found Disciple A City. Disciple A City trains churches, organizations, and individuals with simple tools to share the Gospel and disciple new believers. By 2020 the work and team of Disciple A City had grown and was seeing many people transformed by Jesus. This led Adam and his wife Melissa to resign from Youth for Christ and continue to raise their support, as missionaries to direct DAC full time. Adam, Melissa, and their 3 sons live in Peterborough County.

We have to admit Christianity has been used as a tool of oppression. Each generation in this land from the 1500s and on has dealt with the perceived lack of Christian influence over this place. The who, what, when, where, and why are different but the outcomes and responses were noticeably similar. Even in a country as young as Canada, there have always been those who lamented and feared the loss of time-tested Christianity…make no mistake, when it comes to the struggles of declining Christianity, Canada has been here before.

Prayers for You contains 365 heartfelt prayers and meditations—one for each day of the year. When we don’t have our own words, the scriptures are a great source to fuel our prayers and bring life to them. God wants to communicate with you through prayer, and these prayers were written to help you grow in your faith and in your ability to pray. As you pray through these pages, know that where two or more are gathered together in prayer, God is present. You will grow in prayer, and God will breathe liberty and freedom as He shows you that your prayers are enough and He is listening.

New York Times bestselling author Ann Voskamp pens an unforgettably vulnerable love story – the story of her marriage that she almost lost, of her daughter she almost didn’t find, and how to find the way forward when there seems to be no way – in her highly anticipated new book, WayMaker: Finding the Way to the Life You’ve Always Dreamed Of

Idelette McVicker
May 10, 2022 – Idelette McVicker is the founder and president of SheLoves Media Society, an online forum for Christian women that includes SheLoves Magazine and the Dangerous Women membership community. She is a popular speaker and retreat leader internationally. McVicker wrote the SheLoves manifesto, Let Us Be Women Who Love, which has been used by women’s ministries around the world and in Sarah Bessey’s book Jesus Feminist. After training as a journalist in South Africa, she lived in Taiwan, where she wrote for daily newspapers. McVicker moved to Canada in 1999 and lives in Surrey, British Columbia.
As a white Afrikaner woman growing up in South Africa during apartheid, Idelette McVicker was steeped in a community and a church that reinforced white supremacy and shielded her from seeing her neighbours’ oppression. But a series of circumstances led her to begin questioning everything she thought was true about her identity, her country, and her faith.
Recovering Racists shares McVicker’s journey over thirty years and across three continents to shatter the lies of white supremacy embedded deep within her soul. She helps us realize that grappling with the legacy of white supremacy and recovering from racism is lifelong work that requires both inner transformation and societal change. It is for those of us who have hit rock bottom in the human story of race, says McVicker. We must acknowledge our internalized racism, repent of our complicity, and learn new ways of being human.
This book invites us on the long, slow journey of healing the past, making things right, changing old stories, and becoming human together. As we work for the liberation of everyone, we also find liberation for ourselves. Each chapter ends with discussion questions.

She provides nourishment for both your body and soul at her popular blog spot frommilktomeat.com and offers families spiritual nourishment and kid-friendly recipes in her children’s mealtime devotionals, “Table Talk: Family Dinner Devos”. She has just released her third edition in this series!
This is the third (and final) family devotional in the Table Talk series! We have had such wonderful feedback from so many young families about the first and second of these that we wanted to do just one more! Our kids (and some family friends) still unwittingly gave us more great quotes to work with too… In fact, we think this may be the best of the bunch!
If you’re new to Table Talk, each short, fun family devotional starts with a real-life kids quote. Some from our kids, some from friends’ kids. They are often hilarious and ‘get the party started right away! Then, we transition from an aspect of that quote into a thought about God or life and turn it towards a Biblical perspective. Lastly, we get your family talking (if you’re not already by then over the laughter) with some family dialogue starters. Designed for you to take at your family’s age-appropriate level. We take even the craziest kid quotes and get you talking about things that matter. We like to say we can even “turn boogers into Bible” (sometimes literally!) and families love it.

Shelley Thody
March 22, 2022
Although Shelley had known and loved Jesus as a child as she grew older she grew away from Jesus and made choices in her life that were not healthy. During the first part of her interview she shares with us her struggle with depression and Bipolar Disorder and her journey back to Christ.
The truth is that we live in a turbulent world filled with sin, temptation and lies just waiting to pull us under. Things that initially make us feel they would enhance our lives, often lead to consequences such as losing a job, wife, family, self-worth and dignity. She once lived and participated in this longing for worldly things for a large part of her life. It was exhausting and never rewarding. We can never do enough or have enough to be completely satisfied. It leaves a person feeling hopeless and alone.
There is hope in Jesus. That is the difference. God intended for us to live in His truth, love and light. He is our Creator. When we listen to His calling and He grants us His grace, the storms become glassy, calm waters. The temptations and longing change into satisfaction in an amazing relationship with Jesus. He fills our cups. He is the cure. He is the answer.
In Shelley’s book, Miracles Unfolding, you will read some of God’s amazing miracles that happened 2000 years ago when Jesus lived on the earth and you will also read about miracles that have happened recently. Jesus still lives in those who believe through His Holy Spirit. These miracles have happened over the past few years to her family and to close friends. They are incredible.

John and Helen Burns
March 18, 2022
John Burns graduated from UBC as a dentist in1978 and moved to Williams Lake (in Northern British Columbia) to begin practicing dentistry. At the time he and his wife Helen were living separately. They had two young daughters and Helen was pregnant with their third, and their marriage was broken. John had dealt with fear and had an issue with stuttering. He avoided communication at all costs. Helen was hurt and angry, and their future was uncertain. It was in that season that God changed both of their lives individually, and began empowering them to restore their relationship. When they encountered Jesus, their lives took a dramatic turn. After six years up north they felt called to the Vancouver area, and moved with their three young girls (Angela, Danica and Ashley) to open a new dental practice in the Guildford area in 1984. A home group that they lead in Vancouver began to grow exponentially, and eventually formed the core of our church today.
John and Helen planted the church in 1986. They are warm and dynamic leaders, passionate about equipping the next generation with wisdom for life. John and Helen travel and minister globally, mentoring pastors and sharing their life message with churches and organizations. The strength and longevity of their ministry is seen in the second-generation leadership of Relate Church. Together they host the television program Sex, Love and Relationships on the Hillsong Channel. John and Helen have three grown daughters and take great joy in their eight grandchildren.
Pastors John and Helen Burns have now transitioned into the roles of Founding and Teaching Pastors.
