Jake Fretz

Jake Fretz is a multi GMA Canada award winning artist & songwriter, born & raised on the bustling shores of the Great Lakes, now thriving in the Canadian prairies.

Jake’s passion for Jesus is contagious, and he inspires others to find their unique identity in Christ, and to celebrate the diverse unity of God’s Kingdom. He makes music to bring us together.

As an independent artist, Jake released his first single Christmas 2019. Since then, his 2021 release, HERE COMES THE KINGDOM, debuted as the #1 song added to Canadian Christian Radio & spent 9 weeks on the TOP 30. That same year Jake was nominated for Western Canadian Music Awards’ Spiritual Artist of the Year.

In 2022, Jake returned to the TOP 30 for 18 weeks with LOOK UP, and received 4 GMA Canada Covenant Award Nominations: Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Worship Song of the Year, Canadian Christian Song of the Year, Seasonal Song of the Year. In 2023 GMA Canada nominated Jake for Male Vocalist of the Year, & Worship Artist of the Year. Jake also brought home: Worship Song of the Year (LOOK UP), Adult Contemporary Song of the Year (MY HOME), Collaboration of the Year (MY HOME).

Jake’s writing is surprisingly accessible but poetically unique, and the character of his voice is often compared to Phil Wickham or Dan Haseltine (Jars of Clay). Beyond the stage, Jake is equally passionate about the local church & regularly crafts his songs alongside his worship community.
