Crystal Lavallee
Crystal Lavallee is a producer, storyteller, and the founder of I Am Compelled Collective, a creative initiative dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices and lived experiences across Canada. Her journey into this work began long before discovering her Métis heritage in 2010, which strengthened her lifelong connection to Indigenous communities and culture.
She has produced over 100 Indigenous stories and is the creator and executive producer of Across The Land, a television series exploring oral histories, land, and identity. She is also the creator of First Peoples Voices, weekly stories that aired on 100 Huntley Street.
Since 2008, Crystal has worked with more than 25 First Nation, Métis, and Inuit communities, particularly supporting youth through outreach, media and storytelling.
Her work is rooted in relationships, listening, and creating spaces for people to share their stories with dignity and authenticity.
Her favourite things to do are swimming, hiking and riding her bicycle. She enjoys sprinkle donuts from Tim Horton’s and loves exploring new places.
