As we head into the Christmas and holiday season, financial strain can often weigh heavily on our minds. But God promises to meet our every need. In Scripture, He’s called our Provider, Sustainer, and Portion.
It’s easy to think of God’s provision as just physical needs—money, food, or a job—but it goes much deeper. Philippians 4:19 (ESV) says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This means God provides according to His perfect will, not just to fulfill our wants.
In Luke 5, Simon Peter fished all night without success, but when Jesus told him to try again, he obeyed—and caught more fish than he could handle. This wasn’t just about fish; it was about recognizing Jesus as his true source. The abundance was more than Peter needed, allowing him to call his friends to share in the blessing.
As we receive God’s provision in our own lives, we’re not meant to hold onto it. Just like Peter, we’re called to share the overflow. This Christmas season, as God meets our needs, we can bless others—whether through financial help, encouragement, or simply offering a helping hand.
God’s supply is always abundant and meant to be shared. Trust in His provision and look for ways to be a blessing to others during this season. When we do, we reflect on His love and generosity to those around us.
In our own battles, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but as we lift our eyes to God, and we pray and praise Him, we can trust in His strength and that He will see us through. God is bigger than any battle we face, and in Him, we find our victory.

How We Know What Good Is
In a world where “good” can be as subjective as asking if the food was tasty or if someone was well behaved, it’s crucial to understand true goodness from a biblical perspective. The Bible challenges us to see goodness not just as a moral nicety but as a powerful weapon against evil.
Anchored In Christ
I have learned that God often requires us to wait upon Him and His timing. Sometimes, I’ve become impatient and tried to make the Lord’s plans happen for me, which didn’t end well. The Lord never intended us to live apart from Him.
