Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of thick cut oats (do not use instant or it will turn to mush)
- ½ cup of unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- ½ tbsp of pure maple syrup
- ¼ tsp pure vanilla
- 1 small apple, chopped into small cubes
- 2 tbsp raisins
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of sea salt
Preparation
- The night before, combine oats, almond milk, maple syrup and vanilla in a large mason jar and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, your oats will have soaked up all of the milk and become creamy.
- To the mason jar, add your chopped apples, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt. Mix to combine and dive in!
Tip: If time is not your friend in the mornings, then chop your apples the night before while you are prepping the oats. Just put them in an airtight container with a little squeeze of lemon juice to prevent them from browning. One less step to do in the morning!
